United got the delayed season under way with a convincing 4-0 away win at Nutfield.After the perfectly observed minute’s silence, the Moor Mead boys quickly settled into the game and dominated possession. United were playing up the slope and the physical demands of an 80-minute game started to tell. Nevertheless, Ronnie stretched the lead to 3-0 when the Nutfield keeper fumbled another long range shot. George capped his return to Moor Mead colours scoring the fourth with the last kick of the game after Barney’s 'never say die' battling created the chance. The real foundation of the win was a rock solid defensive performance. The clean sheet was well deserved with the Moor Mead back four looking determined throughout and Harry always alert in goal.
